We see the pattern behind the problem. Then we build a plan around your child — not a protocol, not a default. A real, individualized plan with a clear path forward.
"A plan, not just a diagnosis."
We don't hand you a referral and send you home. Every family leaves with a clear, written care plan built from real clinical reasoning — and a provider who stays in it with you.
"You've been told everything looks fine. But it doesn't feel fine."
Your child keeps getting sick, and another round of antibiotics doesn't feel like an answer — it feels like a holding pattern.
You've asked about diet, sleep, or stress and been told it isn't relevant. You know it is.
You want a provider who treats your child as a whole person — not a chart full of symptoms with a quick fix attached.
You're not anti-medicine. You just believe there should be more on the table before you go that route.
If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone — and you're not wrong. You've just been looking at the wrong kind of practice. Phase5 was built for exactly this.
Most practices ask "what's wrong?" We ask something different: what is the pattern driving this, and what does this specific child need to change it? The answer is never one thing — and the plan is never one tool.
Phase5 Pediatrics is an integrative practice for children and families. We combine the diagnostic depth of East Asian medicine with modern functional health to see what conventional care often misses — and to build a plan around what we find.
Non-pharmaceutical first isn't a tagline. It's the clinical standard we hold ourselves to. Medication has its place, and we'll tell you clearly when it does. But it's never where we start, and it's never the whole plan.
"Fundamentally healthy is different from just not sick."
Every care plan at Phase5 is built on the same three-part clinical framework — not because it's a system we sell, but because this is how lasting health is actually built. Pull on one thread and the others go slack. A complete plan works all three.
Nutrition. Sleep. Movement. Stress. Environment. The foundations that determine whether everything else works. Most patterns begin here — and most practices skip this layer entirely. We don't.
Evidence-informed botanical formulas, herbal preparations, and targeted nutritional support — compounded for your child's specific pattern, not pulled off a shelf. Precise, purposeful, and part of the plan.
Acupuncture, bodywork, cupping, movement coaching, cold laser, telehealth, and more — used when the clinical picture calls for them. The tool always serves the plan. We are not modality-driven. We are solution-driven.
Your first visit is comprehensive by design. We're not rushing through a symptom checklist — we're building the full picture of your child's health, finding the pattern, and mapping a real path forward. Bring your history, your questions, and everything you've already tried.
Book Your First VisitYour initial consult is a full clinical hour. We collect history that most appointments never have time to ask about — and we don't move on until we have the full picture.
Chronic issues have underlying patterns. We find them — and we explain them in plain language so you actually understand what's driving what you're seeing.
Every family leaves with a written, concrete care plan — not a referral loop. All three pillars addressed in the right sequence, specific to your child.
Children change fast. We refine the plan as they respond — not just check a box and close the file. Your child's progress is ongoing, and so are we.
We budget real time for questions. Bring a list. An informed parent is the most important part of a successful care plan — and there's no such thing as an inconvenient question here.
We publish our prices because parents who are serious about their child's health deserve to know the investment before they walk in the door. No discovery calls. No "let's chat first." No sales funnel. We respect your time too much for that — and frankly, if price transparency disqualifies us for some families, that's the right outcome for everyone.
This is where we figure out what's going on — and whether we're the right fit for your family. No pressure, no pitch at the end.
This isn't a subscription — it's a full clinical partnership. Everything your child needs, coordinated in one plan. We'll discuss whether it's the right fit at your initial consult. No upsell. No pressure.
Every other practice asks "what's wrong?" We ask what the pattern is and what this specific child needs to change it. The plan comes first. The tools follow.
You leave knowing exactly what we found, what we're doing, and what you can do at home. Your child's health is a shared project — not a handoff to a provider you see twice a year.
We don't lead with acupuncture because we're acupuncturists. We lead with the question "what does this child need?" — then use whatever the evidence and clinical picture call for.
We're not anti-medicine. We're pro-child. Non-pharmaceutical first is our clinical standard because the evidence supports it — not because of ideology or trend.
Prices are public. Plans are written. Every decision is explained in plain language. No discovery calls, no sales funnels. We respect your time too much for that.
Phase5 is built around the families we serve — not a patient quota. We know your kids' names and what's happening in their lives. That's the model, not a feature.
We built Phase5 because we kept seeing the same problem: families bouncing between providers who never talk to each other — each managing a piece of the child but nobody holding the whole picture. That changes here.
Ben is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with advanced training in pediatric care, herbal medicine, and Chinese medical bodywork. He holds a specialized certification in Pediatric Tuina — a gentle, hands-on approach designed specifically for children's developing bodies — alongside his doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Science.
He came to medicine through movement. Years of training in martial arts shaped how he thinks about the body — not as a collection of symptoms to manage, but as a system that knows how to work well when you remove what's in the way. At Phase5, that philosophy drives everything: find the pattern, build the plan, stay in it.
Ben lives and practices in Kyle, TX, and brings a direct, no-nonsense approach to the treatment room — with the patience and attention that working with children demands.
Dr. Collins is a Chinese medicine practitioner with a clinical focus on inflammatory and complex chronic conditions — particularly skin health in children and adolescents. Her work centers on helping families move out of the cycle of flares, reactivity, and temporary fixes into care that addresses what's actually driving the pattern.
Her approach is systems-centered and herb-led — looking at how the skin connects with the immune system, hormones, digestion, and the nervous system, and building a plan that works on those connections rather than suppressing symptoms. She brings both clinical precision and personal understanding to this work: she has navigated dermatitis herself since childhood, and knows firsthand how disruptive it is when skin just won't settle.
At Phase5, Dr. Collins offers structured, thoughtful, personalized care for children whose conditions haven't responded to conventional approaches — and for families who are ready for something more complete.
